Q:  I am not located in St. George. Can we still work together?

A:  Absolutely!  Consults will be via phone at your convenience.  I have many long distance clients and It works quite well.

Q: What do you typically cover in a 50 minute consult?

A: Consults are aimed to meet your needs.  Therefore, there is never a "typical" consult.  Many factors play into your care, the most important being your goals.  We also consider your health concerns, lifestyle, food preferences and medical history.

That said, an initial consult usually does take longer than 50 minutes.  But at the end of the consult, you will have direction and feel confident in your ability to execute our plan.

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A:  In general, I do not currently bill insurance.  Once paid I can provide an invoice of services that you can self-submit for possible reimbursement.  Many insurances cover 1-2 (or more) visits with a Registered Dietitian per year.  If you are interested in checking with your insurance before booking a consult, please contact me for the proper codes they will request.

There is an exception for those of you living locally.  I work through an internal medicine clinic that may accept your insurance.  Please contact me directly for more information.

Q: I have tried every diet there is and am never successful.  What makes you different?

A: I don't believe in diets!  I don't think anyone wants a diet, they want a plan.  Our time together will be used in developing a self-care plan where I aim to connect you to your own answers, providing structure and support.  Intuitive Eating, Mindful Eating and self-acceptance is a far more peaceful and effective approach.
